There is always more to sport than the score. I explore the people, decisions and forces shaping the games we love, using research, evidence and a lifelong connection to sport.
I grew up playing sport, watching local matches and asking why things happened on the field. Sport gave me memories, belonging and a curiosity that never left.
For more than 20 years, my professional work has taken me from conversations with customers to decisions made in boardrooms. I have helped organisations understand people, solve complex problems and decide what to do next.
Sporty TidBits brings those two parts of my life together. It is my way of giving something back to sport.
A lifetime around sport. A career understanding people and organisations.
02 / How I see sport
Five seats in the stadium.
A game can look very different depending on where you sit. Before forming a view, I try to see it through all five lenses.
01
The fan
What people care about, follow and feel.
02
The player
What the game asks of those who play it.
03
The organisation
What teams, clubs and sporting bodies can realistically do.
04
The money
How funding and choices shape the game.
05
The bigger picture
The wider forces changing sport.
03 / My thinking in action
Curiosity led me to the questions. Research took me further.
These are questions I independently investigated, connecting evidence, different perspectives and my own point of view. Each story opens in Substack, where the full article lives.

Cricket's future is more than a question of formats.

MY PERSPECTIVE
